The Dolomites: a perfect mix of ingredients

On 26th June 2009, the UNESCO Commission gathered in Seville declared the Dolomites a Natural World Heritage; an important award for these mountains - considered by many as the most beautiful in the world.

Maybe it is their colours, or their shape, or even the Dolomia, the peculiar rock they are made of, ... but the Dolomites have a twist to them; a perfect mix of ingredients like .magic peaks - where so many legenda were set; mountains inhabited by proud people, like the Ladins; walls that have made history in world mountain climbing; unique landscapes that attract millions of tourists and mountain lovers each year, in summer as much as in winter.

The Dolomites include the Marmolada, the Catinaccio, the Sella and the Sassolungo – to name but the most important mountains of a unique range of wonders and emotions.
